Hip Hop event in Luxembourg
THE CELEBRATION OF 50 YEARS OF HIP HOP
Weekend of discovery to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop culture in its various forms:
Graffiti, Dance, Beatboxing, Rap and DJing.
Two days of concerts, exhibitions, workshops, performances, conferences, screenings and a market, closed by the seventh edition of the On S'en Fish dance battle.
Hip Hop culture emerged in the 1970s in the Bronx, New York. It took root in a difficult economic and social context for black and Hispanic ghettos who found new forms of expression through music, dance and graphics.
50 years after the first official block party in 1973, Hip Hop has democratized, evolved, and expanded to become the leading artistic movement that has greatly influenced the international cultural and media landscape.
