HIP HOP EVENT IN LUXEMBOURG
CELEBRATING HIP HOP CULTURE
Weekend of discovery to celebrate Hip Hop culture in its various forms:
Graffiti, Dance, Beatboxing, Rap and DJing.
A day of concerts, exhibitions, workshops, performances, conferences, screenings and a market, including the eighth edition of the On S'en Fish dance battle.
Hip Hop culture emerged in the 1970s in the Bronx, New York. It took root in a difficult economic and social context for black and Hispanic ghettos who found new forms of expression through music, dance and graphics.
50 years after the first official block party in 1973, Hip Hop has democratized, evolved, and expanded to become the leading artistic movement that has greatly influenced the international cultural and media landscape.
A LEARNING AND PARTICIPATIVE EXPERIENCE
The visitor will have the chance to discover the different disciplines of Hip Hop and actively experience its culture.
A PLACE TO MEET AND LEARN
The event is a place of encounter and exchange where:
Artists from different disciplines can build their network.
The public can discover the Luxembourgish Hip Hop culture.
A voice is given to those who feel the need to express their thoughts on Hip Hop culture today.
OPEN TO EVERYONE
This event aims to be inclusive, regardless of age, gender, or whether you are familiar with Hip Hop or not.
This also means that we aim to make it economically accessible, granting free entrance to certain activities, and affordable prices for the main events.
